As of this post, I'm away for a couple of days.
Going to Toronto with S to see a concert, and my computer is (FINALLY) going in to be repaired while I’m away. I hope you all have a lovely Tuesday and Wednesday.

Today Looked Like This:
Watch a three-hour long western movie. Watch another three-hour long western movie. Repeat. Repeat while pacing around and downing Mentos and angelfood cake like it’s good for you. Get me ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuut. Going insane.

Child Kicked Out Of School For Peeing Self →
cassket: In Arlington, VA, a cacophony of upper class problems as a toddler is kicked out of a competitive preschool for being unable to control her bladder. Commence proclamation making, letter writing, and yelling. The Montessori school swears up and down that the three year old was given multiple chances to amend her offensive behavior, but ended up suspending the child from the $835 per...

Something a lot of people don't realize about...
The one that’s bothering me right now (and has always bothered me the most) is the near-constant aches and pains I experience. There are days where my muscles feel rock solid from tension, and I can’t get comfortable any way I position myself. My neck, shoulders, back, and legs are sore and stiff, leaving me feeling much older than I am. Bleh. At least I’m eating today, though....

elephant-trooper asked: To contradict the last ask you got, you're allowed to be sad for as long as you need to be. I could never understand why people would say something like "why are you so sad...just do this and you'll be good as new." They obviously have no idea what they are talking about.
Hope you feel better soon.

Anonymous asked: why are you still sad? if you miss S so much why not just get back together? youre a pretty girl, charm him and win him over once more. i have nothing against you being saddened by what has happened, but it just seems like you havent done anything to change that. i bet you could win over any guy.

Today is my baby brother's birthday.
He’s turned 17.  For me, that’s really fucking weird to think about. I mean, he went from this: To this: …in what felt like no time at all. Happy birthday, buddy :) You’re all old now, and it’s weird for your sister.

Turn off your stupid truck alarm. It’s 3am and it’s been going off for a half an hour, echoing through the parking lot.  You suck.

Daily Pep Talk From A Best Friend: You will put on... →
dailypeptalk: Pep Talk: Putting on clothes and leaving the house. It sounds like a bad idea at first, but it’s so crazy it just might work. You don’t have to burden yourself with a plan for what you’ll do once you get outside your home and, even if you have a plan, you don’t have to stick to it. You just have… For the record: I did.

"Ableism: Get It." →
meloukhia: stuffsickpeoplehavetoputupwith: This is an absolutely fantastic article by rockerrepro about her experiences living with multiple chronic illnesses. Everyone should read this. It is a huge pity to see a very common ableist trope from within the disability community (yes, we can be ableist too) reinforced in this piece: know for a fact that if I had shown outward signs of...

psychotherapy: Ask people who have been diagnosed with a mental illness – especially a serious one like Schizophrenia – what they think about media coverage of the issue and certain words come up time and again. Words like: ‘offensive’, ‘stigmatising’, ‘sensationalist’, ‘inaccurate’ and ‘distorted’. Similar terms are also used to describe the depiction of mental illness across the wider media...

Most people know what the Magic Bullet is. But I just became aware of the Baby Bullet… is this actually something someone would buy? Legitimate question, because I think it’s a good idea.

Is There A Surgical Cure For Depression? →
cassket: For ten years, Sheila Cook suffered debilitating depression that didn’t respond to medication or even electroshock therapy. But now a new surgery has given her relief. According to the Telegraph, Cook was so depressed and suicidal that her husband had to quit his job to take care of her full-time. When conventional treatments didn’t work, she received an experimental one called deep...

It’s a working interview, where I’m behind the cash and the manager gets to see how well I perform and learn the tasks ahead of me. Everything about this is new - I have not done a similar job or used a cash register before. Some important things to consider right now: I have been crashing for the last three and a half hours, with several before that being spent under major anxiety...

OH MY GOD YOU GUYS.
I am mortified.  I can’t even describe this episode. If you’re interested, it’s Amy and Jon’s wedding and is listed on the website. If you know of any free tv sites, you can probably find it. It’s worth it, in my opinion.
