I don’t want to miss out on the first peace and (although minimal) comfort I’ve had all day so I’m staying awake a lot longer than I normally would.
I’m going to make myself some eggs and toast, and enjoy freedom from the complicated emotions I’ve had to feel all day today. My brother should be home soon, and since I expect him to be drunk I hope I can get my food cooked and taken upstairs before trouble starts.
If anyone has any extra hope to spare, sending it my way would be appreciated. I can’t go into detail about why I need it, but I speak the truth when I say that I desperately do.
Beating myself up. Hard.
